TRAINING
Group Classes
At GODA we take your obedience experience to the next level with classes taught in a variety of environments. We feel a one-size-fits-all indoor class is not sufficient preparation for your dog’s social success so we do our best to take our classes on the road to a local point of interest near you. We offer Starter (Baby) Puppy and Puppy classes; Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Manners classes; as well as the AKC STAR Puppy and Canine Good Citizen (CGC) classes and testing. We also offer specialty classes, such as AKC Sport Tracking (footprint), Intro to Agility, Tricks and Games classes, Reactive Dog Classes and Excursions, Dog and Baby, Hounds on the Town, and Therapy Dog Prep classes based on interest, season and enrollment.
Private Lessons
When you schedule a private session with a GODA trainer you will receive a completely customized lesson targeting your individual challenges. Dog and human will be put to work to build on strengths and weaknesses and improve communication, repetition, timing and focus.
BEHAVIOR CONSULTATIONS
Our GODA Trainers have many years of experience, credentials, and continuing education in training and behavior management. From unwanted puppy behaviors to rescue dog challenges to complex family issues to compulsive behaviors, we can help you create a plan that will get your relationship with your dog back on track. For more complex or extreme cases, we will happily assist you in finding a Certified Veterinary Behaviorist or other relevant professional, as needed.
FIELD TRIPS: HOUNDS ON THE TOWN
Most of the dog enthusiasts we know are always on the lookout for new and exciting classes or activities they can do with their canine friends. Due to this interest we seasonally host Hounds on the Town, meaning we offer social and training outings around central Ohio including group walks, adventure hikes, and working field trips to pet friendly establishments and restaurants just to name a few. The only prerequisite is that you have completed a basic obedience class with your dog through GODA or another reputable training company and can demonstrate that your dog has a basic skill set to successfully be out and about.

Evening – I am not currently offering my reactivity class this cycle but I would be happy to work with you on a one-on-one basis if that is helpful. There is a great deal of work that can be done in a private lesson type setting. If interested please contact me at godogacademu@gmail.com
